Interstate clash to be played at WIN Stadium
Wollongong has been today named as the official host city for the 2008 Tertiary Rugby League Interstate clash between NSW and Queensland, as it was confirmed that the important representative fixture would be played as a curtain raiser to the AAMI Country v City Origin clash on Friday May 2.

The interstate clash kicks off the 2008 representative season which also contains the Universities World Cup and NSW Tertiary tour to Europe.

The Australian team that will take place in the Universities World Cup will be selected from those players which participate within this representative fixture.

Any Rugby League player from NSW and Queensland who is currently attending University, TAFE or another Tertiary accredited institution is eligible to trial for state selection, regardless of what senior Rugby League competition they are playing in.

Both representative sides are also taking applications for officials for the clash.
